Thatch Travel Services Announcement!!

Hi friends! I have some exciting news I want to share with you all…

I have officially launched my Thatch page! Thatch is a super useful travel website and app where you can purchase travel guides, custom itineraries, and even one on one consultation calls. It’s a personalised way for seasoned travelers to sell their knowledge of the countries they know best. It’s essentially the backpackers version of being a travel agent! 

So far I have guides on Vietnam, Bali, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Guatemala. I will continue to publish more countries as time goes on!   I have two guides per country; one details all the best things to do and the other lays out where to stay. The guides are even attached to Google Maps so you can easily download all of the exact locations to your phone.

 If you are someone who always scours the internet for research before a trip, Thatch consolidates everything you want to know into one place.  Rather than reading advice from 12 different websites of random people you don’t trust (or influencers who are getting brand deals/affiliate marketing), Thatch allows you to choose which traveler you want to listen to.  You can search by certain criteria that match someone similar to you such as age, budget, nationality, and travel style. But if you are reading this then you should prob just choose me hehe. 

The only con to Thatch is some people might not want to pay for travel advice when you could find free advice online. But as someone who always uses the free advice online, its time consuming, often outdated, and never answers my exact questions. Often times when I am researching a country and looking for the best activities, restaurants, or parties they are not up to date. Or I’m looking for best hostels for solo travelers and all I see is couples advice for their romantic villa getaways. Thatch eliminates this annoyance by providing current recommendations from travelers who were just there and know what you are looking for. 

I’m always getting messages asking for advice and recommendations of the countries I’ve traveled to and used to just give it away freely. But someone once told me that my experience is valuable to others and since long term traveling has become my lifestyle, my valuable experience should be compensated (just like any other person you might pay for advice). So I figured Thatch is the perfect way for me to put a small price tag on my experience. The blog will stay free for all to read and I’ll continue to post my usual content 🙂 

But if you or someone you know is planning a trip and needs personalized advice, itineraries, or guides, please send them to my Thatch page! Even if you don’t plan on using my services, the least you could do is subscribe and save the guides so it pops to the top of the search engine lol.
